Web Design Portfolio & Case Studies

In our portfolio, you can read a short synopsis of most of the websites we have built and/or designed. But we decided to take a few of them and develop in-depth case studies, to more thoroughly explain what each client needed, what the challenges were, and how BoxCrush® met and exceeded those challenges to deliver positive results.

Client needs are different—deciding how large a site should be and what technology and interactive features will enhance a message is complex, and can’t be a one-size-fits-all solution. BoxCrush identifies every facet of your internet strategy—including websites, mobile ads and pay-per-click services, SEO, and more—and then we fill those needs with unique, tailored solutions. We don’t try to put our clients into a one-size-fits-all box. The following case studies prove that.

Overview

Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers, a locally owned small chain of pet stores, already had a BoxCrush website when leadership asked for enhanced eCommerce functionality. BoxCrush fulfilled that request, ultimately changing the online store from a browse-only configuration to one that allowed customers to place orders for home delivery.

BACKGROUND

In 2018, BoxCrush added Uncle Bill’s product pricing to the website, with prices linked to a database; as prices changed in the database, website pricing updated automatically. This new feature allowed customers to buy products online for curbside pickup.

THE CHALLENGE

In 2020, as pandemic-related restrictions disrupted normal business operations, the curbside pickup option helped Uncle Bill’s maintain profit margins. But national chains were offering home delivery, an option Uncle Bill’s did not have.

SOLUTION

In 2021, BoxCrush further enhanced the site’s eCommerce functionality, creating a “Buy online for home delivery” feature. With that option, curbside pickup, and the reopening of stores for in-person shopping, Uncle Bill’s now had three ways for customers to buy products, and between April and May 2020, there was a 290% increase in curbside pickup orders, along with a 249% growth in revenue, compared to the previous two-month period.
