UX Design Services
Websites of old paid very little attention to the user experience (UX). Sites were pretty, but many of them were difficult to navigate, leading to bounces and poor retention. Today, we know that the UX isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s a must-have. At BoxCrush®, we analyze how users interact with websites and we design one that keeps your customers engaged.
Mapping the Customer Journey
Designing for a good UX means understanding the customer journey and removing as many obstacles to those final goals as possible. We understand how users interact with sites and we can design yours for optimal success and minimal blockers. At BoxCrush®, we take away the distractions so you get more conversations and higher conversions.
Understanding Customer Behavior
Many companies see a website launch as a last step. At BoxCrush, we see this as the first step in a longer play, learning from customer behavior. And we’re not just taking a shot in the dark. We use analytics to track how users move through your website, then we continuously refine and optimize customer pathways.
Enhanced Functionality
An exceptional website includes elements that support interactivity, including dropdown menus, image thumbnails, hovering capability, and sorting features. Our development and design team can bring this fluidity and functionality to your website.

Requirements Gathering
A website may include any number of elements that support interactivity, such as drop-down menus, elements that appear when users hover over an image, or customized software that allows your customers to find products and services by specific features. Our development and design team can bring this fluidity and functionality to your website.
We’ll present you with UX design wireframes that illustrate how custom functionality will work. We do this so you can approve the design before we write any code (because changing code after it’s written raises your costs and delays the launch of your website).
- The Agency will meet with The Client to gather requirements for custom functionality
- The Agency will provide key layouts, in rough form, to represent functional elements to be developed as custom interface
- Functional and content notes will be added to provide context and define key features
- Layouts will be clickable and presented online allowing the Client to review these wireframes and review proposed functionality and workflow to determine features and document UX requirements
- After each round of UX presentation, Client feedback is incorporated, layouts are updated by BoxCrush until the Client and Agency are satisfied with the planned functional experience
- Once the wireframing is complete and approved by the Client, design and development will begin
- Project fee includes first draft, one major revision (second draft), and one minor revision (final draft). Additional concepts or draft revisions will be billed hourly in addition to this estimate
Key Goals:
- Help Client plan for optimal interface
- Assess requirements for custom development
Revised Budget Approval
- Once the Requirements Gathering and UX Planning is complete and approved by the Client, the development portions of this estimate will be re-evaluated based on the current understanding. Re-evaluating will ensure that The Client and The Agency are both in agreement on the functional requirements of the website before development begins.
- The Requirements and UX Planning will be added to this agreement and become known as the Original Assignment Description
- Any functionality not described fully by the Client or the Agency in the requirements gathering and UX Planning process will be considered outside the scope of the Original Assignment Description
- If new functionality has been discovered, The Agency will assess the need for additional budget based on the new understanding of the requirements once fully described by The Client. The Client will have the opportunity to approve any additional budget necessary to complete the Original Assignment Description
- If the Client does not approve the updated budget they will have two options:
- Option 1: Terminate the agreement and receive the wireframes and requirements document as the Work Product
- Option 2: Make compromises as guided by the Agency on the functional requirements to bring the budget within the currently proposed budget
