We don’t just think outside the box, we crush it. And we wanted our agency’s logo to reflect that philosophy.

BACKGROUND

If you’ve spent decades building a brand and a reputation, you want your website to be more than just a generic out-of-the-box platform, and this is precisely why we’re called BoxCrush. Back in 2002 when Dan Finney’s brainchild began to evolve from a solo freelance operation into wow, we’re actually doing this, he knew the company’s logo should clearly communicate our unique, out-of-the-box approach to digital marketing, website development, and design.

CHALLENGE

After choosing the name BoxCrush, it was time to design the logo. The problem that confronted us was this: anything we did to the box to crush it made it, well, no longer look like a box.

SOLUTION

In one of those Aha! moments, we realized we could focus on the moment just before the crushing.

Once that decision was reached, the question was, “What crushes the box?” A dinosaur, an anvil, and a piano were all ideas that came quickly. We moved forward on all three by grounding the brand around the box. We could have fun with what crushes it and add more items over time.

If you’re looking for a full-service Indianapolis web development, design, and marketing agency to devote this level of thought and collaboration to your brand, give us a call. We promise not to drop any pianos on you.
